Stan's DJ Entertainment tries to make your special day as stress free and fun as possible.
We play at hundreds of weddings, and over 80% of our weddings
come from referrals - so we figure we must be doing something right!
When your wedding day arrives, we play an active role in making sure
that everything runs smoothly and according to your plan. Based on
our 43 years of wedding experience, we can also offer suggestions to
help make your party unique, fun and memorable, without ever taking
the focus off of the reason everybody is in attendance... you!
We have approximately 525,000 in our music library! We have access
to virtually any song that has been recorded, spanning from the
1920s to the most popular music of today, with everything in between.
And if we don't have a song that you want, we'll go out of our way to
find it because the way we see it, it's your wedding, and we want it to
be perfect!
A versatile DJ is willing to listen to your suggestions, give you
feedback and play from your desired song list. A professional DJ will
also accept the fact you may not want certain songs played. He
should listen to your requests rather than telling you what he likes to
play!
Stan's DJ Entertainment provides backup equipment at your event?
Although equipment failure is rare, do you really want your special occasion ruined because your
DJ did not come prepared? Make sure they bring backup equipment!
What happens if your DJ would get ill or have a family emergency and cannot DJ your wedding?
No one can guarantee their health or that an accident won't take place, but it is important to know if
your DJ has a back-up plan in case of illness or an accident. If he works for a professional DJ
company, they will usually have someone in their staff prepared in the case of an emergency,
whereas some solo DJs might not have the same resources available. Stan's DJ Entertainment has
2 sons that grew up in this business, and a third person for back up. That's 80 years of combined
experience!
A professional DJ will assist you with the planning of your special day. Most professional
entertainers will coordinate, emcee and provide the music that you desire. Ask if they have
experience with weddings. If not, find someone who does!
How much time do you allow for set-up?
Punctuality is a necessity. Most DJs arrive at least one hour prior to the start time you've
given them. Your entertainer should be setup and in-place before your first guest walks
through the door.
It is extremely important to have your booking confirmed
in writing. Ask for a written agreement, especially if you
are paying an initial retainer.
We will always be suitably dressed for our occasion. For
formal events we have Tux or will wear black suits.
Specify the type of apparel that your DJ is expected to wear for your occasion. Shirt and
tie, black dress shirt and slacks, or coat & tie are the most popular forms of attire. If you are
having a "themed" event, make sure your entertainer is informed.
A full-service disc jockey company will normally invest 12 to 30 hours to your
special event but it may appear that you are only paying for "4 or 5 hours".
Consultations, music purchasing & editing, preparation, set-up and tear-
down, education and other business related endeavors add up to the overall
success of your special occasion.
